What a result!
On 24 April, the Maidenhead branch hosted an impromptu St George’s Day quiz bingo at a local pub—and we celebrated in style!
A massive shout-out to our fabulous compère Carla (@politicscarla), who kept everyone entertained all night, from the “cheesy” clues to some top-tier badge selling!
Huge thanks to everyone involved in organising the event. We’re delighted to report that we raised funds for the branch while enjoying a few drinks and plenty of laughs.
It was the perfect mix of relaxed vibes, friendly chat and patriotic spirit.
A quiz with a bingo twist
The questions covered British history and Maidenhead, with a karting night for two up for grabs for the winner.
St George’s Day
St George, the dragon, the red rose and 23 April featured among the quiz themes.
British icons and history
Questions included Winston Churchill, fish and chips, and Magna Carta.
Local knowledge
Windsor Castle, the Thames and Maidenhead Bridge put local knowledge to the test.
