Who to contact
This notice covers reformmaidenhead.uk, the Reform UK Maidenhead branch website. For website privacy enquiries or to exercise your rights, contact Gareth Davies, Branch Chairman, at admin@reformmaidenhead.uk, or write to Reform UK Maidenhead, Millbank Tower, 21–24 Millbank, London SW1P 4QP.
Reform UK Party Ltd is identified as the controller for Party activities in its national privacy notice. That notice and the political campaigning privacy notice explain the Party’s wider processing, controller arrangements, legal bases, safeguards and Data Protection Officer contact details. This page explains the particular features of this branch website.
What information is involved?
- Visiting: the hosting and delivery services receive technical information needed to serve and protect the website, such as your IP address and requested pages. This site is hosted through ChatGPT Sites, using Cloudflare infrastructure. Provider logs are managed by those services.
- Article contributions: the contribution form prepares a text file in your browser. It does not automatically transmit or store your entries on our server. If you email your draft, we receive the details and attachments you send and use them for editorial review and to contact you about the contribution. Private contact details and internal review notes are not intended for publication. Publication arrangements are agreed through editorial review.
- Email enquiries: if you email us, we receive your email address, name if provided, and anything you include. We use these to answer and manage your enquiry.
- Mailing-list requests: you can ask to receive updates by email. Sending an ordinary enquiry is not a request to join the mailing list. Tell us clearly if you want updates; you can ask us to stop at any time.
- Survey: the feedback link opens Google Forms. Information you choose to submit is handled through that service and by the survey organiser. Read the privacy information on the form before submitting; contact the branch if it is missing or unclear.
- Event photographs: the site displays selected event images. Please contact us to raise a concern or request review or removal of an image showing you. Attending an event does not by itself mean you agree to all uses of your image.
Do not send unnecessary sensitive information. Political opinions, including those revealed by survey answers, membership or some event images, receive additional protection under data protection law.
Why information is used
Routine enquiries and essential website operation are handled for the legitimate interests of responding to correspondence and maintaining a functioning, secure website, balanced against your rights. Optional video loading is based on your consent. Where consent is used for email updates, it can be withdrawn without affecting earlier lawful use. Political campaigning and sensitive information require the additional legal conditions and safeguards described in the Party’s notices; this website notice does not replace those requirements.
Sharing and external services
Information may be handled by authorised branch or Party personnel and the services necessary for the activity, such as hosting, email or form providers. Information may also need to be disclosed where the law requires it. The branch does not sell your enquiry details.
Membership, donation and candidate application buttons open separate Reform UK services. Event booking opens Eventbrite. Social buttons are ordinary links, not embedded social feeds. Those websites apply their own privacy and cookie information when you visit them.
External services may process information outside the UK. Their notices, and the Party’s national notice where applicable, explain international processing and safeguards. Contact the branch if you need details about a particular service or transfer.
How long information is kept
Enquiries are kept only as long as needed to deal with the matter and any relevant follow-up, complaint or legal obligation. Mailing-list details are used until you unsubscribe or the list is no longer needed; a minimal record may be retained to respect your opt-out. Published event images are reviewed when concerns arise or they are no longer relevant. Party records follow the retention criteria and schedule in the national privacy notice. Hosting and external-service records follow the relevant provider’s arrangements. Contact us for the period applicable to your particular information.
Cookies and video choices
The branch website code does not add advertising pixels, visitor analytics or its own cookies. Infrastructure providers may use technologies needed to deliver or secure the service. This statement is not a claim that every external service is cookie-free.
YouTube is optional. On Suella Braverman’s event page, a placeholder appears instead of a video player. No YouTube iframe or thumbnail is requested by this page until you select “Enable YouTube video”. Enabling it connects your browser to Google/YouTube, which receives technical information such as your IP address and may use cookies or similar storage for playback, measurement or other purposes described in Google’s privacy policy. The player uses YouTube’s privacy-enhanced domain.
You may leave the video disabled and use the rest of the site. Your choice is not stored by our website between page visits. Select “Disable YouTube video” to remove the player, or reload the page to return to the disabled state. This stops further embedded-player requests from the page but does not erase information already sent or cookies already set by YouTube; manage those through your browser settings. A separate “Watch on YouTube” link takes you directly to YouTube.
Your rights and complaints
Depending on the circumstances, you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your information, object to processing, and withdraw consent. In particular, you may object to direct marketing at any time. Contact the branch using the details above, or use the Party’s national data-rights channels. We may need proportionate information to verify your identity.
You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office. You do not have to contact us before approaching the ICO.

We will update this page when the website’s features or information practices change. The date above shows the latest revision.
